Being a Cat Friendly Clinic means
We meet the requirements mandated by ISFM for a high standard of healthcare and provision of a pleasant environment and experience that make your cat’s stay at our clinic as stress free and comforting as possible.
Cats are not small dogs. We provide a cat-only waiting area, with raised areas to place your cat carriers where you can wait with your cat away from the sight and sound of dogs, so as to reduce your cat’s stress levels as much as possible.
We have a separate cat ward in our hospital area which is kept quiet away from bright lights, noise and dogs to make your cat's stay more relaxing.
We understand that cats have a unique need for a calming environment to feel safe when away from home and we aim to make your cat feel at ease in our clinic with a caring and gentle approach to treatment and consultations. All staff are trained in handling cats in a cat friendly manner, with techniques to minimise stress to your cat during examination, procedures, and treatments. This includes no scruffing unless absolutely necessary, taking our time and being as gentle as possible when handling your cat.
